Extend That Manicure!

If you're like me, you can't paint your own nails. At least not a significant color other than Essie's Angel Food or Ballet Slippers. So, when I want color on my paws, I have to head to Ibiza and have my friends who think my name is Libby help me out.

I don't know why I hadn't thought of this til now, but it's a MAY-JAH manicure extender if you slop on another top coat the next day. I am still rocking a miraculous chip free OPI Here Today, Aragon Tomorrow blackish green polish from the day before Valentine's Day. No chips in sight. Only problem is that your nails grow. Not going to complain about that though. You can buy the topcoat at any beauty supply store, and OPI is my absolute fave. You're welcome for your chip free groomed paws.

Diet Coke

I heart Diet Coke. It's no secret. And there aren't many things in this world that are better than a perfectly chilled first sip of a COLD DC. I have a mini fridge at my desk at work. On it is this sign:

I purchased this mini fridge so that I could have a frosty DC at my disposal at all times. Sometimes people think they can help themselves. And sometimes they help themselves to my last one. Not cool. I'm cool if you ask. In fact, I'll lob one up in the air to you like they do in the commercials. BUT, do NOT leave me Diet Coke-less. I will be a very unhappy Ingy.

I've Gone to the Dark Side!

I did something I really never thought I would do. I bought something off of QVC. Gasp! Ever since Angelina Jolie wore those STUNNING Lorraine Schwartz emerald earrings to the Academy Awards last year, I've been hooked.

Don't judge. I had to. Here are mine. Much better in person, mind you. Can't wait to wear these!

Smart Husband.

I saw something very interesting on Saturday. I was driving up Robertson near the Beverly/ 3rd Sreet area when my eyes were drawn to a thirty-something hot dad pushing a sweet child in a stroller. Not too out of the ordinary for a Saturday afternoon. This is what made me swoon- he had one of these hanging from the stroller handle:

Obviously, sans Tisdale. Smart man. Smart husband. He probably was surprising mama with these for Valentine's Day. Men of the world, take note!

PS- This is why I need an iPhone. Would have loved to have snapped a pic of this.

I Can't Stop...

Applying this lip balm. At $23, you would think it had flecks of gold in it, but trust me, it's worth it.

I keep mine in the fridge and it is hands down my favorite. You can buy it at You're welcome for your new moisturized lips.

Every Kiss Does NOT Begin with Kay...

This commercial makes my skin crawl for so many reasons. It's irritating. The creep factor is through the roof. It's getting to be that time of year when men are ill-advised to run to the nearest "mall" jewelry store and get some corny chocolate/diamond combination gift box contraption. Not sure which is worse, the actual jewelry or the commercials. Check it out. You know the commercial. Do people really say these things? And if so, how does the chick not punch the dude after he says it?

"I'm right here...and I always will be..." Shame on you Kay Jewelers for preying on clueless men who just want to do nice things for their wife/gf/ladyfriend on February 14th! Side note: I wonder how many takes that scene took and how much those actors were paid!
