Feeling Green. Again.

I am in a green phase in my life. I never really get out of it, but it's stronger now than it has been. So imagine my reaction when I saw this amazing bag.

It's two great things rolled into one. The perfect Kelly green color and a classic Chanel bag. Sigh. Obviously, not going to own it so may have to settle for a different green bag? Time will tell.

Bitter, Party of One Towards Party of Five? Present!

My shoes. Kill. So envious. You may not be able to see it well, but they are the C-LBTN shoes I have been coveting. PLUS, I would NOT have paired them with the dress that she did.

I'm green with envy. It's a good thing green is my color and looks decent on me. Happy Wednesday!

Bar Tricks!

I did this. And was so proud of myself. No one else could do it. Not Tonya. Not Greg. Not Liz, not Nick, not Micah, not Nat, you get the picture.

You should try it. I bet you can't do it. I'm feeling a bit snarky today. Beware.

I'm Such a Sucker...

I am a sucker for infomercials. I believe everything they say. I am the exact target audience that advertisers dream about. I saw a commercial for this new product called the Spin Pin. See below.

It apparently does the work of 20 bobby pins and is great for throwing your hair back. And, let's be honest, that is all I do, is throw my hair back. I can't be bothered to blow it out more than 3 times a month. So imagine my excitement when I heard about the Goody Spin Pin. BUT. It's sold out. Everywhere. All CVS, Rite Aid and Target stores have been cased. I even set foot in the Target where that crazy lady went all Norman Bates on 4 customers. Have my peeps looking when they are out too. Damn infomercials make a girl crazy! Once one is acquired, I will make sure to report back!

Awkward Moments...

You know when you hear someone whistle and there aren't many people around so the odds are greater that they MUST be whistling at you?!? That happened to me a few days ago. I rounded a corner and heard a VERY loud whistle. I didn't turn my head to look to see who it was because it felt strange. So they did it again and by reflex (I swear it was a reflex!) I looked to see who was cat-calling. It was someone I know (and like very much) being a complete jackass trying to get my attention. How about yelling my name! Don't make me feel weird! I don't know why it was so awkward/icky, but it was. Jack Bauer would NEVER whistle at someone to get their attention, he would whisper-talk their name and NO ONE ignores Jack Bauer.

Can you tell I am excited for Monday night's series finale?

The ONE Day This Summer...

...when I won't be wrapped up in a scarf and it's hot enough out that I can wear this sheer tank, I will wear this. I bought it. And I can't wait.

Enough with the t-shirts. Let's mix it up a little bit. My wardrobe is evolving slowly but surely. But I am sure I will bring a cardigan. You know, just in case.

Did Jack Bauer Have a Conference Call with Tony Stark?

The "24" episode last night was SO good. I was discussing with Siri this morning and we both agreed that the scene where Jack Bauer apprehended former President Charles Logan was super-duper badass. She said that he went all Iron Man on Logan's ass, and she was so right. This photo doesn't do him justice.

You must watch the video below.

I used to think it would be a good idea to market a bracelet that said "WWJBD". Not what would Jesus do, but what would Jack Bauer do. Then I thought the show wasn't as great anymore. I am back to loving it. WWJBD!

Just Like Gambling!

Buying airline tickets is just like gambling, roulette to be exact, but minus the fun. And minus the trip to Vegas. Unless, of course, you are buying a ticket to Vegas, and then it would be a little more fitting to be gambling on that purchase, since that's what people do in Vegas.

Buying airplane tickets makes me panic, it really does. Maybe that is why I am a self-crowned queen of last minute travel. If you get a somewhat decent price, if you don't click BUY IT NOW, you run the risk of the flight selling out, or that annoying little notice saying "we're sorry, but that fare has gone up $120". Kill. That's the ONLY redeeming quality about Southwest (Greyhound in the sky). They let you change flights and rebook if you see a lower fare. I just booked a ticket yesterday on Delta (part of my hopscotch around America tour this summer) and I decided to torture myself and see what the prices were like today and they were less. Like, a stupid amount less. I will just pretend I gambled that money I suppose.

That's Not My Child.

We were at the W in Scottsdale a few weekends ago and I found myself chatting with a dude. He asked me for my phone number so I gave it to him and he called me while he was sitting next to me. I pulled my phone out to save his number (so I would remember who the H he was when he called or texted) and he looked at me funny as he watched me enter his info. He saw this photo as the screen saver on my phone...

...and asked, "Is that your nephew?". AKA, what he meant to say was "that's not your kid, is it?" I told him no, that was not my nephew and paused and made him sweat for a hot second or two. Then told him it was my niece. Shhh, don't tell Emme that Kyle from the Scottsdale W thought she was a boy.

Mama's Dia!

Happy Mother's Day to all the wonderful mothers I know! My friends with babies, my sister with babies (er, grown kids who draw fun superheroes), my besties' mamas who I also love dearly- every single one of them- for loving my best friends and being great moms to them, my mom's best friends who treat me like their own, the list goes on and on!

Thinking about my Sweet Sal today. Maybe I will have a regular Coke and put on very large sunglasses and borrow Katy's bug and drive around today. Fun memories. :)

Last Year At This Time...

One year ago right now, we were getting ready for the Grealy nuptials in Pittsburgh. What an amazing weekend it was! I am so happy for Beth and Brad and am thrilled to have been standing by their side that day. Here are a few (of SO many) fun memories from the celebration!

Mr. and Mrs. Grealy!

One of my favorite photos of our dresses. Too bad I got Primanti Brothers all over the front of mine. Whoops. But it was oh-so good.

Happy Anniversary Grealys! Love.

Cinco de MAYO?

Cinco de Mayo is a great excuse to indulge in some tacos and Corona Light! Not going to lie, I will probably end up at Pinches at some point tonight. But every time I see the phrase "Cinco de Mayo", I focus on the Mayo part and always think of Mayonnaise.

More like Cinco de Miracle Whip (thanks for that, K)! Gross. I do not heart Mayo.

Sur la Table- Did You Mean To Send This To Me?

Opening my mailbox is like a mini-Christmas each day. I subscribe to eleventeen magazines, I am a shopper and my dad mails me random newspaper articles weekly sans note (not even a "hi"). I find myself on the most random mailing lists also. I got a postcard last week welcoming me to check out a local nursing home. Um, ok.

Yesterday, I got home from work, collected my mail and sandwiched between a Victoria's Secret catalog (I get at least 3 per week) and a Crate and Barrel catalog was a Sur la Table glossy. Imagine my confusion! I really only use my kitchen as a place to put my adorable Kitchenaid Mixer that I use as a decoration. (See my fridge blog). Why would Sur la Table be trying to lure me into their store. I have only been in there twice and both trips involved Siri in one way or another. They MUST have accidentally sent my Nordstrom Catalog to Siri/Katy/Beth/Hannah/Tonya/Molly, etc (...you get the picture) and sent one of THEIR Sur la Table catalog to me. That HAS to be it, right?

Magazines Make Me Want Things.

Every month, I tear things out of magazines that I love and want to find. InStyle is a repeat offender in my world. See the H&M dress and Cynthia Vincent Wedges. Last month, I saw this.

I want to wear this. I want to wear both of them. I want to wear them this summer. And I want it to be on a boat. I'm on a boat. You know, because that SNL skit is never quoted. Ever.
